Led by master spinner and weaver Eddon Boyd of the Brick Street Handspinners Club, participants will discover the rich history and basic techniques of weaving. Each session features a live loom demonstration followed by a craft activity where participants can try their hand at the craft by making their own woven bookmark to take home. Following the workshop, participants are invited to explore the museum galleries to view historic spinning wheels from the museum’s permanent collections.

While the program is free and open to the public, space is limited and advance registration is required. Registration is only necessary for participants, but parents or guardians must remain with their children for the duration of the program.
